Women’s Ministry seeks to reach, teach and nurture the women of our church to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and equip them to be faithful disciples in all parts of their life. With this in mind we seek to offer opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, service and prayer. We are always open to suggestions for new ways to minister.

| SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES |
|
The Bible is God's Word. It is God's communication to each of us. Spending time with someone we love is how we build our relationship. Take some time this spring to spend time with God. God loves us and desires that we draw nearer to Him. Bible study is also wonderful way to build relationships with the women of our faith community. We have several short studies beginning in April. Consider joining one.

| PRAYER THAT WORKS – Jill Briscoe |
|
These two groups began in the fall with a study on prayer. We will spend the last several weeks of spring studying prayer again. Jill Briscoe is delightful and her messages are always thought provoking and challenging. In this DVD series she uses biblical examples, especially from the lives of Elisha and Elijah, to answer questions about prayer. She helps us to apply what we learn to our prayer life today. Come experience prayer that works.

| DISCERNING THE VOICE OF GOD - Priscilla Shirer |
|
Join this class as they study Priscilla Shirer's book Discerning the Voice of God. God desires a personal relationship with each of us and He speaks directly to us. Sometimes it is hard to discern what God is saying versus what others are saying. Grow closer to God through His Word and become more familiar with the Holy Spirit. The more intimate your relationaship with God the clearer His voice will become. A video and workbook will be used.

| CARRIAGE TOWN MINISTRIES |
|
Last spring Women’s Ministry committed to serving at Carriage
Town Ministries for two years. We have directed most of our
resources and service to the Family Center. The Family Center provides
a safe place for up to 40 women and children at one time.
Women in need, battling addiction or looking for a safe place to start
their lives over, find many services available to them. Many of you
have given of your time to make an impact there in the past year.
In June, we painted and redecorated one bedroom and five
bathrooms with the help of 30 volunteers. We also did some spring
clean-up and planted flowers. In July, a weekly Bible study for the
long-term residents was started. This group has begun their third
study. In October, with the help of Men’s Ministry and Youth Ministry,
we sponsored a work day. We did general fall clean-up and repainted
the fence that surrounds the property. In addition, with the
help of Michele Lorenz, we have offered several craft classes to all
the residents. These have been well received.
With the help of Men’s and Youth Ministry we have just begun
plans for a spring work project at Carriage Town. We will be continuing the painting of the fence and
will be undertaking a landscaping project. Please mark your calendars
for this opportunity to serve. This is a wonderful way to let the
love of Christ flow through you to our community.
