Noye's Fludde

Noye’s Fludde is a delightful and moving retelling of the famous Biblical story of Noah’s flood and is intended to appeal to all ages of the community. It was put on at the church May 15 & 16, 2010. The production itself involved all ages with over 100 performers and theatrical staff involved. These included professional singers, over 40 children, choristers portraying the animals, dancers, handbells, piano, organ and orchestra. Composer Benjamin Britten set the work as a chancel-opera. The actors constructed a 30-foot ark in the church chancel as they sang the story of God, Noah, Mrs. Noah, her gossips, the sons and their wives, the animals, and, of course, the rainbow.
