- Series: Spring Education Classes
Sunday classes are held at 11:00am
Who’s Who in Church History – This class is an expansion of the very popular class we had last year. This year, we will not only cover people of the Bible, but also those who have greatly influenced our faith since the Scriptures were written. Each week we will add someone new with a different leader guiding the class. This makes each week new, fresh and interesting. It also allows you to feel comfortable to stop in even if you have not been able to come each week. Come and learn more about how so many lives have been guided by God and how God wants to guide you. Led by Steve Baillie & guest presenters in Room 211.
Return to the Mount - The Bishop Class will be continuing a study of the Sermon on the Mount. We will move on to continue our study into what has been called an encapsulation of Jesus’ teachings. We will view these lessons through a 21st century lens in an effort to glean what it is that God is teaching His followers today. We will employ an interactive style in an effort to bring forth the best thinking of the entire class, while enjoying one another’s company. Held in Room 129. Led by Pete Hutchison
Nooma - What was that? Nooma. What is that? Nooma is the English phonetic spelling of the Greek word pneuma, which is most commonly translated “spirit” or “breath.” What will we do in this class? Each week we will view a 10-minute-or-so production from the Nooma series (produced by Rob Bell of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville, MI) and consider together the experience. We hope you will join in the search, enter into the discussion sharing your questions along the way, and experience God’s Spirit at work, moving among us as we journey together. Led by Paul Ytterock and Dick Skaff in the Chapel.
Men's Ministry
The Bible in 90 Days
You may have never done it before. You many not believe it but you can read the entire Bible in 90 days! You just need a way to do it that makes sense. You need short-term goals that let you achieve a long-term goal. You also need a supportive community to encourage and challenge you along the way. We will view a DVD and discuss what we have read. Make the commitment and join us. Led by Steve Baillie in Room 129. Coffee fellowship from 8:00-8:30am and class at 8:30am.
Women's Ministry
God’s word is living, life-changing and dynamic and it changes us as we study it. God’s word reveals who we are and what we are not. It challenges and comforts us. It calls us to allow God’s love to transform our lives. Take a few minutes during the busy Christmas season to find a Bible study to join in January. You will be amazed at the joy you will experience as you grow closer to God and the women in your study group.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
