Faith in Flint
Jun 12, 2009
There is Faith in Flint.
God’s presence has been declared in our worship, nurture, and service.
From Ashes to Fire our community has come alive with increased attendance in worship, increase in giving, and increase in volunteering. Our members are deeply engaged in Christ. In April and May we recorded 4,571 hours of volunteer service into our community. Our membership giving is $25,000 ahead of last year. Our worship services have glorified the Triune God with excellence.
In the midst of GM bankruptcy, First Presbyterian Church of Flint has declared that we are part of God’s presence in Flint. The church will continue to declare the love of God, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the communion of the Holy Spirit. The church will be there for you and this community now and in the future.
To glorify God, we need to continue to be good stewards. Yes, our investment income has diminished. Our increase in giving must continue. We also need to lower our expenditures in ways that do not affect our ministries. The church is asking you to help us become more paperless. By sharing your e-mail and receiving information electronically through the internet, the church can save large administrative costs.
Faith in Flint will continue, because we are God’s stewards. We will worship. We will volunteer. We will give. God is with us.
