Congregational Care Ministry

The Congregational Care Ministry provides ongoing spiritual and pastoral care to the members of the congregation with hospital visits, home communion, assistance in dealing with health issues, and special needs. Congregational Care enhances the quality of spiritual life for the whole congregation, with a special emphasis on the elderly and those experiencing life changes due to family circumstances, retirement, loss of mobility, and those who can no longer participate in the regular activities of our faith community.

Ministry Focus Areas

Grief Ministry:

The loss of a loved one is a drastic life-style change that produces the occurence of grief. People are often surprised to find that they are unable to process grief by themselves. Frequently, they need a group that offers understanding, guidance, and support enabling good management of their grief. Our group uses a Christ-centered program called "GriefShare".

Our Grief Support Ministry has a new look and a new meeting time.  We now meet Wednesdays from 4PM to 5:30PM in the Memorial Parlor.  This is a 12 week session which begins January 13, 2010 and ends  March 31, 2010.  This weekly gathering provides opportunity for listening and sharing together. Dinner with others from the congregation follows in the Parish Hall ($6) and worship in the Chapel at 6:30PM.

This group is facilitated by Parish Nurse, Frankie Bonner, BSN, RN.  Contact her at 234-8673 or by email at with any questions.

Cancer Support:

The Cancer Support Ministry is for cancer survivors and family members committed to supporting those members facing a diagnosis of cancer in practical ways, sharing the journey, and working together toward a good outcome. To volunteer your time and/or expertise contact Frankie Bonner, Parish Nurse at 234-8673 or email

Health Ministry:

The Mission of the Parish Health Ministry is to provide wholistic care to the congregation and community, focusing on emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, and relationship well-being. Frankie Bonner, B.S.N., R.N., Parish Nurse, works to accomplish this goal through wellness education, health counseling, assistance to individuals and families with health concerns, referral, and representing the congregation's vision of health to the community.
