Who Are We?
The Genesee Valley Youth Chorale is a non-denominational, religious choral organization that strives to engage and nurture the youth of Genesee County through performance of sacred choral music. The Chorale provides training, education and performance opportunities while encouraging spiritual and personal growth, fellowship and participation in a quality choral organization.
Celebrating Our Youth
Genesee Valley Youth Chorale celebrates the diversity of our community by selecting sacred choral repertoire from a variety of cultures and musical styles. As advocates for youth, music and the sacred, the Chorale partners with families, churches and other artistic organizations.
Celebrating Our Community
GVYC will perform throughout the region with a special empasis on those organizations having members in the Chorale. The Chorale will represent Genesee County in a festival concert of youth choirs at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. June of 2010.
Who May Join?
All Youth in Grades 7 - 12 who desire to sing in a vibrant youth choral ensemble are welcome. No audition is required.
