Confirmation is an important rite of passage in our church community for midde and/ or high school students. For those students baptized as infants, confirmmation marks the moment where they take their baptismal vows upon themselves. For students not baptized, confirmation becomes an opportunity to be baptized. On Pentecost Sunday (may), those being confirmed will stand before the church and publicly affirm the Christian faith. To prepare for this event, confirmands will learn what Christian faith is and what is distinctive about the Presbyterian Church. Classes begin in the Fall. The class meets from 11:00- Noon following family worship in the youth center. Students will have reflective work, take sermon notes and write a statement of faith. There is opportunities for parents to discuss weekly the material that the students are learning. It is a great opportunity for students to develop a foundation for his/her faith.
