Youth at FPCF

WELCOME TO THE PIPE

The PIPE youth ministry at FPCF is a safe place in which to discuss relevant issues of faith. We provide a safe environment in which to ask questions about faith, discover your unique qualities as a follower of Christ and grow in friendship with other students.

The most current information and updates can be found on our Pipe website:

Meet Our Director of Youth Ministries: Kira

We are excited to welcome Kira Nieman to the staff of FPCF as our new Director of Youth Ministries! Kira has relocated from the greater Los Angeles area where she has completed a degree in Christian Ministries with minors in Biblical Studies and Psychology. She brings passion, energy, imagination and love to her work here at FPCF and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her to minister to our middle and high school students! If you haven’t done so already, please stop by the church office and say hello to her and welcome her to our church family!

Sunday Mornings

Worship

Each Sunday is an opportunity to join this family of faith in authentic worship at 10:30a. We join together with families throughout the area to worship God through prayer, teaching, and singing. It is a great way to experience a community worship gathering.

Faith Formation

Before service, we go to the Pipe to complete service projects to better serve our church!

Meet us at 9:30a!

Confirmation

Each student will have a confirmation mentor and a prayer partner. They are going to make a chalice with FIA at the end and it is a 2-year cycle with a rotation of teachers for the entire time.  This schedule is subject to change.

Sunday Evening PIPE

You may be asking what happens at Pipe. Pipe is a safe gathering for students in 7th through 12th grade. Pipe takes place on Sundays from 4p-6p and includes time for fellowship, community building games, a lesson to deepen our faith, and small group time to further relationships and learn from one another. Join us!

Ministry Opportunites, Trips, and Events

Pipe has many different types of activities during the year in edition to our typical Sunday Night Youth Group! In 2024, we have many exciting things for students to be apart of.

Friday, February 23rd will be our All-Nighter. This event will take place from 8p-8a on Saturday morning. Throughout the night, will be games, glow bowling, movies, and other fun activities!

Saturday, March 16th will be our Mini Service Retreat to Detroit! We will spend the day serving in the Detroit area and learning more about the Detroit community. The goal of the day is to learn more about the Kingdom of God through different environments and cultures! More information to come.

April 19th-21st is our Spring Service Retreat! We will spend the weekend staying in the Pipe and hearing from local speakers and serving in local businesses and non-profits that serve our local community of Flint. This will be a time for students to become more equipped to engage in not only our own community but communities that they may be apart of in the future! More information to come.

July 21st-26th is our Summer Engagement Trip to New York City! We will stay in Harlem and partner with Experience Missions and the Salvation Army. This relational trip will allow students to learn from and enter into relationships with those from many different cultural backgrounds. We can’t wait to see what God will do on this trip! Note: Students must be an incoming, current, or just graduated high-school student to participate. In addition, students must have attended DNow, the Mini Service Retreat, or the Spring Service Retreat in order to attend this trip!

PLEASE NOTE: If under 18, for all trips, events, and activities that take place away from the church, there must be a medical release and parental activity form on file. Thank you!

PIPE Leadership Team

The PIPE is led by a team of youth leaders that plans all of our events. Being in leadership at PIPE is one way we share our talents and gifts with one another, and it is an excellent opportunity to build leadership skills by working together in collaboration. To join the PIPE Leadership team, speak with our Director of Youth Ministry, Kira Nieman.
