Stations of the Cross

2024 marks our third annual Holy Week tradition of Stations in the Parking Lot. Our parking lot has again been transformed into a walkable art gallery for you to use as part of your Holy Week practices of faith.

The Stations of the Cross began as an act of remembrance that pilgrims developed when they retraced Jesus’ final steps from Jerusalem to the hill outside the city where He was crucified. Wanting to share that practice and experience with people who couldn’t make the trip to Jerusalem, they created local stations of meditation that became in itself a tradition.

You can find this tradition on the inside of many churches still today.

To participate, come down to the church, grab a printed booklet from the stand by the first station (fourth street side) or follow this link for a digital version of the booklet and start your ‘pilgrimage.’
