Stations of the Cross
Since 2022, part of our Holy Week tradition at FPCF includes Stations in the Parking Lot. Our parking lot is transformed into a walkable art gallery for you to use as part of your Holy Week practices of faith.
The Stations of the Cross began as an act of remembrance that pilgrims developed when they retraced Jesus’ final steps from Jerusalem to the hill outside the city where He was crucified. Wanting to share that practice and experience with people who couldn’t make the trip to Jerusalem, they created local stations of meditation that became in itself a tradition.
You can find this tradition on the inside of many churches still today.
To participate, come down to the church, grab a printed booklet from the stand by the first station (fourth street side) or follow this link for a digital version of the booklet and start your ‘pilgrimage.’

Desde 2022, parte de nuestra tradición de Semana Santa en FPCF incluye las Estaciones en el estacionamiento. Nuestro estacionamiento se transforma en una galería de arte transitable para que usted la utilice como parte de sus prácticas de fe durante la Semana Santa.
El Vía Crucis comenzó como un acto conmemorativo que los peregrinos desarrollaron al recorrer los últimos pasos de Jesús, desde Jerusalén hasta la colina situada a las afueras de la ciudad donde fue crucificado. Con el deseo de compartir esa práctica y experiencia con aquellas personas que no podían realizar el viaje a Jerusalén, crearon estaciones de meditación locales que, por sí mismas, se convirtieron en una tradición.
Hoy en día, todavía es posible encontrar esta tradición en el interior de muchas iglesias.
Para participar, acérquese a la iglesia, tome un folleto impreso del soporte situado junto a la primera estación (en el lado de la Cuarta Calle) o siga este enlace para obtener una versión digital del folleto y dé comienzo a su «peregrinación».

Hello! We invite you to take part in our Stations in the Parking Lot exhibit during Holy Week.
This exhibit is designed to invite you to prayerfully meditate upon the final moment of Jesus’ life. We will have booklets available near the first station as well as audio guides. Each are available in English and Spanish.
You are welcome to walk or drive the stations at your own pace.
As you work through these stations, may you see the that we are not troubled guests in this world. May you see that your pain and suffering is not forgotten by God. And may you see that the good news of this season was expressed best by Jesus when He said, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

¡Hola! Te invitamos a participar en nuestra exposición «Las estaciones del Vía Crucis en el aparcamiento» durante la Semana Santa.
Esta exposición está diseñada para invitarte a meditar en oración sobre los últimos momentos de la vida de Jesús. Tendremos folletos disponibles cerca de la primera estación, así como audioguías. Ambos están disponibles en inglés y español.
Te invitamos a recorrer las estaciones a pie o en coche, a tu propio ritmo.
A medida que recorra estas estaciones, ojalá comprenda que no somos huéspedes atribulados en este mundo. Ojalá comprenda que Dios no olvida su dolor y su sufrimiento. Y ojalá comprenda que la buena nueva de esta época fue expresada de la mejor manera por Jesús cuando dijo: «Os he dicho estas cosas para que en mí tengáis paz. En este mundo tendréis aflicciones. Pero ¡ánimo! Yo he vencido al mundo».
