Paul overflows with gratitude for the Thessalonians, then prays that their love may increase and abound. Advent peace often grows out of love—love rooted not in sentiment but in deep, Christ-shaped commitment to others’ good. Paul imagines a community strengthened in holiness through love overflowing its boundaries.

Mark shows Jesus emerging from baptism, receiving the Father’s delight, enduring temptation, and proclaiming good news. The kingdom draws near not through power but through vulnerability and faithfulness. Advent peace grows in us the same way: through receiving God’s love, resisting what harms, and joining Christ in sharing good news.

Reflection Question:
Where do you sense God inviting you to practice love that overflows its usual limits?
