Paul’s joy flows from partnership—shared ministry, shared prayer, shared grace. He trusts that God will complete the good work begun in the Philippians. Advent love recognizes that none of us is a finished product; we are all in process under God’s patient craftsmanship.

He prays that their love would overflow with knowledge and insight. Love is not blind in Scripture; it is discerning. Advent love grows wiser, more perceptive, more attuned to what truly matters. As Christmas draws near, this is a timely prayer for the church.
